One of the best applications for Linux are klipper or the GNOME alternative glipper. They allow you to store the last clipboard entries and make work at the shell more efficient. For a long time I missed those features in OSX. But finally I found a proper replacement: Clyppan.
Clyppan is a free and Open Source clipboard history application for Mac OS X that’s always at your fingertips. It keeps a list of text you have copied to the clipboard and allows you to paste it again by selecting it from the list within Clyppan. http://www.omh.cc/clyppan/
